Excel's Clipboard

How do I _permanently_ get rid of Excel's clipboard?
It is always in the way...

You should be able to choose the options dropdown at the bottom and uncheck
"automatically..."

Not sure I understand your instructions, Anne.
Exactly at the bottom of what is the Options dropdown?
I am using Excel 2000, if that matters.
