Exception List

Hi,
I'm using Outlook 2000 and have the Junk Email rule in place to move
'junk' to a Junk Emails folder. I have 20 people in my exeception list,
but they still get bounced just because they have @hotmail.com address.
Why would the Exception List not be working?
Here are the 2 rules I have ... very simple
1) Exception List ... as mentioned, has 20 email addresses
([email protected] format).
2) Junk Email ... Check after it arrives, suspected to be Junk Email or
from 'Junk Senders' move to Junk Email folder and stop processing more
rules.
The rule works great ... except it email from people on the exception list
still gets moved to the Junk Email folder.
Am I missing something ?

What are the exact details of Rule #1? Does it include a Stop Processing action?

What are the exact details of Rule #1? Does it include a Stop
Processing action?

No, this is the default rule that Outlook creates and I cannot edit or
modify it.
I also cannot find a way to create the same thing and add the stop
processing.
Here is the text of the rule from the rules wizard

.......
Apply this rule after the message arrives
From senders on my Execption List
Do not search message for commercial or adult content
.......

Is this Outlook 2000? I have a really low opinion of its junk mail processing. One thing you might try instead, especially if the exception list isn't too long, is the set of rules I've outlined at http://www.slipstick.com/rules/junkmail.htm. You can include a rule for messages from "sender or distribution list" and add all your exception addresses there, then set the action to stop processing.
