Exchange 2003 - Exchange 2007 broke Entourage 2008 error -18500

When i connect via Safari to OWA, it connects fine and no prompts for
a cert. The issue may be a solution i found earlier when Entourage was
failing to my SBS 2003 server. It had to do with my Security Event Log
error stating each time my MAC connects to Exchange, it is registering
Event ID 531 Reason: account currently disabled - THEN IT SHOWS "Name:
GUEST NtLmSsp !!

Entourage is connecting using GUEST. Note, the work-around I did, does
NOT ENABLE the GUEST account. My notes are below on how I fixed this.
However, currently I am contracting and the company own the Exchange
2007 server so I cannot troubleshoot it for them. So, i'm looking for
possible solutions to forward over to their administrator. My fix for
Entourage to Exchange 2003 is below and it is a very quick and easy
fix, works like a charm!

Logon/Logoff Event ID 531 Reason: account currently disabled User
Name: GUEST NtLmSsp Workstation name: “myMAC’sName” Source Net
Address:”MyMac'sName” IP address.

Well, i started thinking the Mac doesn't quite tie into AD like a
windows machine. I also noted there were no other errors as if
Entourage never reaches Exchange.

1.) disable Windows 2008 firewalls on itself and virtual OS it was
hosting
2.) Run ADSIEDIT.msc KB article 326690 change dsHeuristic to 00000002
(this allows Guest authentication to the DC to query info, does not
enable the Guest account in AD
3.) Sync your MAC You must make sure that DNS is still working fine.
A.) I used https://localservername.internalNetBIOSname.local/Exchange/
as my server name
B.) Then my network username by itself, no domain info appended to it
C.) Domain name was the NetBIOSname.local If you must sync from the
outside, make sure you use your external DNS name of course
https://mail.companyname.com and make sure you can reach the same
exact resources with a web browser to test authentication is okay and
your URL is working fine along with DNS records
