Exchange 2007 contacts in Entourage

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange Excuse me if this has been asked before, but I didn't see anything with this specific issue. We have Exchange 2007 and an iMac with Office 2008 running Entourage. I have shared contacts in Outlook 2007/2003 and am trying to open them up in Entourage. In Entourage, I can "Open Other User's Folder" and enter the name, Exchange server, and select Address book. If I haven't granted rights in Outlook, I get a permissions error. Looks good, so I grant the rights, open again and it loads for a second....then nothing. Nothing on the Entourage screen changes. I see no new contacts, no errors, nothing. It's as if I never attempted anything. I know that Entourage 2004 couldn't sync Public folders, but surely this has been corrected by now. What am I missing....or is this impossible?

I thought I was understanding your problem up until you mentioned public
folders.

Opening a shared folder applies only to shared items from another user's
mailbox. It doesn't apply to public folders.

Entourage 2008 can subscribe to public folder items to keep them
synchronized. You'll see something like "Subscribe" at the top level of
public folders.

If I've misunderstood what you're needing, please post back with more
details about what you're trying to do and how.

Hope this helps!

I'm sorry for the confusion. What I meant was that I know that Entourage 2004 could not sync with Public folders on an Exchange network, and I think I heard it had issues with shared calendars through Exchange. Does that clarify the issue. You can ignore that portion, as it's just a comment about past compatibility issues rather than relevant to the current issue.

Entourage 2004's "Subscribed Folders" was called something like
"Favorites" but did the same thing.

So, is there a way to do this in Entourage 2008? So far I've been unsuccessful.
