Exchange account settings

I've been using Microsoft exchange to get and sync mail, calendars and
contacts from Gmail to my laptop and smartphones. I just bought Outlook
2010 for my Windows 7 machine and can't seem to make the connection. Is
there a special trick to setting it up with Outlook or some add-on I
need to install to make things work? I used the help suggestion and
inserted the same information (server is m.google.com and the username
is my gmail address) that I used with Thunderbird but it can't/won't
connect.

Any ideas, anyone?
