exchange and pop3 together

I have two pop3 accounts, one exchange account, and
multiple PST files. Sometimes when I log on, it's from a
place that will allow me to use Exchange. Sometimes not.
Pop3 will always connect.

I'd like to be able to have all these in the same profile,
with the different messages going to different inboxes (as
opposed to all going to one, and then having to rules-
wizard them out or something. The main problem is that
originally I had my exchange account, had a subfolder that
took in (via rules) the pop3 messages into that subfolder,
and then I could have them at least clustered together.
Problem was that 1) it would then count that folder
against my exchange folder size (which is not viable going
forward) and 2) it only processed the rules when I could
connect to the exchange server.

So in my ideal world, I'd like to open outlook, with it
1) knowing that I either want it to synch up to exchange
automatically or not
2) getting my pop3 accounts (2 of them) and delivering
both to their own inboxes, which are completely untied to
the exchange server inbox

What, if anything, can I do. I am on 2002.

Thx.

Keep dreaming. It cannot happen as you have outlined. Mail will come to
one inbox. You will need to move the mail via rules.

Having Exchange and Internet mail in one profile is the exact means to toast
your Outlook. Using separate profiles for Exchange and internet mail is the
recommended method.

Can't be done. There is exactly one default delivery location per profile.
Even with IMAP and HTTP accounts, although it appears to have more than one.
If you want separate Inboxes for each account, you'll need separate profiles
for each account.

Having Exchange and Internet mail in one profile is the exact means
to toast your Outlook.

I would disagree, since having both types of accounts in one profile is
fully supported.
