Exchange Calendar Doesn't Always Sync Between Outlook and Entourag

I have noticed that when I add an event to my Exchange calendar using
Outlook, it doesn't appear on my Exchange calendar when viewed with
Entourage. The only events that appear to be synchronizing are meetings to
which I have been sent an invitation (and then accepted).

What's more, if I accept a meeting invitation from Entourage, it causes two
copies of the meeting to appear on my Exchange calendar when viewed with
Outlook -- one accepted, and the other tentative.

Is there a solution for this?

Software versions:
Mac OS X 10.5.6
Entourage 12.1.0
Outlook 2003
Exchange Server 6.5.7651.60 (?)

Thanks

Be sure to sign up for the first public beta test that's coming out later
this month.

The Macintosh Business Unit (MacBU) at Microsoft announced Entourage for
Exchange Web Services (EWS). MacBU expects to release a "public beta" for
this new version of Entourage later this month. This version of Entourage
will finally deliver some of the most highly requested features for Exchange
users--specifically synchronization of tasks, notes and categories.

The final release will be available later this year as a free update to
Office 2008 users, distributed via Mactopia.

This sounds like you have an Exchange Server 2007 server, which
automatically accepts meetings as "Tentative" for you. And this sounds
like you may need to clear your Calendar's cache to get syncing working
again.

If you see this in just one or a handful of folders then right-click or
Control-click that folder or calendar, select Folder Properties and
click the Empty button to empty the cache. You can also select the
account itself and empty the cache for all of your folders.

Hope this helps!
