Exchange Objects retaining timing etc.

Hi my friends,

After San Diego things went fast. I tried all the new stuff I learned, but
now I'm stuck.
I have a presentation with a lot of animated objects (motion paths, etc.)
For several reasons I need to change the "make up". The objects have to
change, but their animation, animationschedule, position, timingplace, etc.
should retain.
How to do this, without starting over again.
I had a look at Shyam's Animation Toolbox, but I do'nt think it fixes the
scheduleproblem.

Thanks for helping out!

Hi Frans,

if your objects are AutoShapes, you can use Draw - Change AutoShape to
replace them.

Kind regards,
Ute

Hi Ute,

Thanks for your reply.
They are in fact autoshapes, but (as the name says) they change only the
shape and not the other attributes like fill, text, borders etc.
So I'm still not there...

Hi Frans,
What exactly do you mean that the objects have to change? Could you
elaborate on this?

Hi Shyam,

You're OK?
First: I meant "Animation Carbon" not "Animation Toolbox"
(I already have the Thé Toolbox)

I.e. I have a autoshape box with specific text, fill and borders.
Then I want to replace it by another autoshape (like Ute said) but with
different text, fill and or border. After the replacement the position and
the animation settings (type, time, etc) should be kept teh same as the
original.

Regards,

Frans

What happens if you go to the Draw menu (on the Drawing toolbar) and
choose Change AutoShape (with shape selected, of course), and then go to
the Format menu and choose Format AutoShape? You should be able to make a
lot of changes without impacting the animation.
