exchange Office to my new computer from old unit ?

we have purchased a new computer to replace an older unit and we want to take
the office program which we purchsed within the last few months and install
it on this new unit. We have the original disc and lic product key but I know
if we install it on the new computer it will not allow us to use it due to
the lic alreaady being used. The other computer is to be retired. How do we
do this ?

If Office was preinstalled, you may not move it. The licence only covers one
hardware platform for life.

If you bought a full retail Office package, you can simply uninstall it from
the old machine and install it on the new machine.
