Excluding email from Send/Receive

I'm running Outlook 2003 and have several email accounts. I have an email
group (Tools> Options> Mail Setup> Send/Receive) that does an automatic
Send/Receive every 5 minutes. This group also controls whether each email
account is included in the automatic Send/Receive, and whether it will Send
or Receive or both. All of my accounts are POP3, except for one which is IMAP
which was just added recently. This account accesses an external mail server
and has to be configured as IMAP.

I want to set up the IMAP account to Send but not Receive emails (or at
least not automatically), but it doesn't seem to have that kind of option in
the Send/Receive group settings, like the POP3 accounts do. I unclicked the
box so that it is NOT included in the Send/Receive for that group, but I am
receiving email anyway whenever the Send/Receive is done. ??

How can I set up the IMAP account so that it will Send or Receive only when
I manually request it? And how can I set up the IMAP account so that it does
not Receive when the automatic Send/Receive is done?

Thanks for the help.
