Exclusive Locked state

Hi,
I am using access 2007. Trying to collect data using email. The final step
when setting this up gives me the following warning. How do i fix this?

You currently have the database open in an exclusive locked state. Until
this exclusive locked is released, automatic processing of e-mail messages
will fail.

My best guess is you need to go to the Office button, Access Options. Go to
Advanced and scroll down to set Default Open Mode to Shared rather than
Exclusive. How this will impact on your database only you know......
