David Griffith

Just recently I have been getting a Dialog box opening asking me to find the
file I want to run after I have clicked on certain links from ie6, it has
not always done this and to the best of my knowledge I have not installed
any thing new.

Any Ideas?

TIA

My apologies for replying to your problem with my own different problem but I
can't open a new question window in order to start a new thread and this
problem is the core issue I'm trying to resolve.

I'm unable to resolve a problem with my Microsoft Outlook Web Access. I'm not
sure if this problem falls into the Outlook Express realm or plain Outlook
issue camp since it's the hybrid Web access I'm trying to do and I'm not
sure if that's considered Express or not.

I have done what's suggested in the tech help article at:
OLEXP: "Send To" and E-mail Links Do Not Work with Outlook Express
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098

The problem is I can read email but cannot respond. When I try to reply or

forward a message the window of the message I was reading closes and no new

blank message with the address included opens.I have to copy the original

senders address into a new blank message to be able to reply.
Incidently I can't open a new question window but I can reply to other posts
at this site.

I have disabled pop-up blocking in my Google Tool bar and my Pop-up Stopper

program and have changed settings in IE Tools > Internet Options > Advanced

window to allow most things to take place - meaning no script blocking etc is

enabled. I also restored the default settings just in case I changed
something

I shouldn't, but all this has had no effect.

I'm using Windows 2000 with all updates up to date and IE version 6.0.2 and
the

Outlook Version is 5.5 SP4

Can you help?

Thanks
Gusto

Did you disable third party browser extensions? Maybe that will help.

Outlook Web Access is part of Exchange. Perhaps you'll get a better answer
in the Exchange newsgroups.
