exit to desktop after last slide

How will my desktop screen appear after the last slide in ppt. I do not want
the file to open after the last slide

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but if you do a "File", "Save as" and
change to a "pps" (PowerPoint Slideshow) file and save it on your Desktop
when you double-click the file and run it, once it closes your Desktop is
showing. Also, make sure you have the "End with black slide" option
unchecked under "Tools", "Options".
