Expand button in menu

This has probably been asked a hundred times before, and I once had the
solution to it myself (but have forgotten it), but how is it possible to
have menus thus configured, that the entire menu appears instead of the most
recently used bits and that acursed Expand Button??? I'd appreciate any
help.

Ah, the "Always hide the command I'm looking for" option. :) Tools ->
Customize, top half of the Options tab. For Word 2000, UNcheck all
checkboxes. For Word 2002, CHECK all checkboxes. (I swear, they
reversed that just to confuse people.)
