Expand/collapse text in Word?

Greetings,

I am wondering if you can tag text to allow it to expand and contract
like you can in Excel (via grouping). Is this possible?

Nah, I mean the ability to highlight some text and group it together
such that you can expand/collapse it with the +/- sign like in Excel.
In other words, if you are reading a lengthy document, you could
collapse some of the paragraphs so that they didn't get in your way.
Thanks for responding though!

There is no direct correspondence to the Excel feature. You may,
however, format certain text as HIDDEN (FORMAT, FONT, HIDDEN). If your
PC is not set to show hidden text, it will appear as though you have
collapsed the text, and it will not print. It can be stripped of the
hidden attribute to print, or you can set your PC to display hidden
text (TOOLS, OPTION, VIEW, HIDDEN TEXT

I actually prefer to create a style for hidden text -- it includes the
hidden attribute, but also a font color of bright blue. When I have my
PC set to view hidden text, I can distinguish quite esily between the
hidden text and the text that will actually print.
