Expanding AVI video files

Can I expand the size of an AVI video in PP. I need the actual video to be
larger on the screen but when I expand it, it doesn't play properly....stops
and starts sporadically. I am running Vista and using 2007 PP.

I answered my own question. Effect options/movie settings/zoom to full screen.
