Expected % completed.

Hi, everybody.

How can I to obtain the % completed expected so far status date (today for
example)?

I need it in order to compare with my actual % completed advance.

One question to answer with this feature could be, for example, this: "today
my actual % complete is 45%, however, what must be my % complete expected?"

Thanks for your tips.

Hello Gaspar,

Instead of comparing % Complete (expected and actual), you'll better have to
compare BCWS and BCWP which are parts of the EVA : Earned Value Analysis,
integrated in MS Project. For that, display the Earned value table : View /
Table / More Tables... Hoover the mouse pointer over a field header to get
the Help on it.
Hope this helps,

Have your resources got costs associated with them ?

If so you can use ACWP, BCWS and BCWP to ascertain earned value. This is
monetary EV which isn't exactly what you want.

If they don't have costs, set the resource cost rate to $1/hr then set a
baseline, add the above fields to the resource usage view and you will a
timephased view of task planned/actual progress.

Or you can do it the right way ! lol, just checked..

Open the resource usage view,

add cumlative work and actual work to the view. Hey presto.
