The easiest solution is to save the presentation as an HTML page. In the
folder were the web pages are will be, among other things, all audio files
from the presentation.
This solution worked swimmingly in MS2007 PowerPoint, but in 2010, the latest version of PowerPoint doesn't offer the option to save as an HTML page. Is there another solution?

You can try to use f. e. 7zip to extract pptx file as archive, then you should be able to find the audio file inside.
