Export Filter

AMH

Hi,

I am trying to export some data from MSP2003 to Excel using an export map to
export resource assignment and I want this for a specified date range

I have produced a filter that filters the information I require in the
resource usage view, however I don’t seem to be able to apply this to the
export file. The export map page has a drop box for Export Filter but this is
greyed out and thus I cannot apply the filter I have developed

How can I apply this filter and get only the data I require exported ?

Thanks

Hi AMH,
maybe the following thread gives you some insights:
http://groups.google.com/group/micr...88?hl=en&lnk=gst&q=unique+Id#68ab8332bc778d88

In synchronization issues Excel with MSP the so called MSP unique task
ID is very important. For more information google "unique id ms
project" or have a look at
http://www.dbcrane.com/ms-project-tips.htm

Hope that helps; have fun

Hello AMH,

There are no assignment filters, only task or resource filters. So,
when you select to export Assignment data in the export map dialog,
the filter list is not available.

A suggestion: in the Export Wizard - Map Options page, select
Resources (not assignments) and under the Microsoft Office Excel
Options section, select "Include assignment rows in output". As you
proceed to the next page of the Map, you should be able to select
the Resource filter you used - for example the Date Range filter.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
