Hi,

A lot of information in a PP presentation is included in the notes section of the slides - not on the outline. How can I export the notes text? I know I can set the slides to print in note format but I really don't want to have to manually re-type all those notes!

Thank you!

Sorry, but I haven't found any way to do so. It may be possible with Apple
Script, but that's not something I'm familiar with.

If you can get it to a PC there are additional options in File> Send To> MS
Word that include outputting the slides with Notes. Either 2003 or 2007
should be able to handle it. In fact, if you don't want the slides included
I believe you could make a copy of the file then edit the Notes Master to
delete the slide placeholder & change the size of the Notes text box. The
file in Word would be a table but could be converted to text.

I'd sure choose to Copy/Paste before I'd resort to retyping, though :)

In addition to Bob's suggestion, if you can open the presentation on a Windows PPT
computer, there are freely available macros that'll let you export the text from the
notes pages.

If you do a bit of VBA, you could adapt this for PPT 2004 or earlier on Mac as well.

Thanks Steve - I was 95% certain of that but didn't know for sure so I was
hesitant to offer any empty promises :)

Ah - a return to the god old days of Special Ops!

And while you're there, give it a scratch, there's a good feller.

Lower ... lower ... little to the right ... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
