I need to export a contacts list from Outlook 2003 and import it into outlook
2000 on another computer.
I have no problem exporting to a file, either pst. or excell, but when I try
to import into Outlook 2000 a message comes up saying file not recognised,

Can any one please help me with this

Thanks

Create a new PST of the correct format. File>New>Outlook Data File>Outlook
97-2002 Personal Folders File. Browse to the folder where it should be
stored (or accept the default), give it a name (or accept the default), and
click OK. Now copy the items you wish to transfer to the new PST. When
done copying, right-click the PST's root and cloose Close. Close Outlook.
Now copy the PST to the other PC, placing it on its hard drive and making
sure you remove the read-only attribute. Start Outlook. Click
FIle>Open>Personal Folders File, browse to the PST you put on disk, select
it and click OK. You can now copy things from that PST to your main one.
