Export / save Enterprise template?

Hello,

I've made an Enterprise template but now I want to use this template
on another Project 2002 server. Can I export the template to a file?
Or is the another option?

Hi Ikke,

You can do this by choosing "File->Save As..." and clicking the "Save as
File..." button. The part that is most important is that you Import the
file (rather than open/save). Go to "Tools->Enterprise Options->Import
Project to Enterprise".

Now, follow the wizard to map custom fields, resources and caledar items.
This wizard will ensure that your template is imported without problems that
would not normally be detected via a typical file/open/file/save operation.
Also note that you can choose a "Type" of "Template" in the wizard so it
will go right up to the server as a template.

Try the following method:

1. Open Microsoft Project 2002 and log into your first Project Server
instance
2. Click File - New... (do not click the New button)
3. In the New Project sidepane on the left, select General Templates
4. In the Templates dialog box, click the Enteprise Templates tab
5. Select your project template and click OK
6. Name and save your template as an .mpp file and save it on a network
share
7. Close Microsoft Project 2002 and then reopen it
8. Log into your second Project Server instance
9. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise
10. Import your .mpp file as an enterprise template to your second Project
Server instance (remember to select "Template" as the Type on the third
screen of the Wizard)

Hope this helps.
