export specific fields to Excel

I have a crosstab query that I want to export to Excel. I'm familiar with a
number of methods for doing so, but this time I want to send only the first 9
fields. The number of records will vary. I've been reading the messages of
others like Ken Snell. (Ken - your posts are enormously helpful)! So my
little yodas, how do I make this happen? Is it better to push it out from
Access or grab it from Excel? FWIW, I hate coding in Excel. I'm using
Access 2002, Windows XP.
