This is the expected behavior when an image is located on a shared location.
Export to Web is careful to remove anything that could violate a user's
privacy or harm their computer. Images that are on a shared location are
really "web bugs" that can disclose if someone views a file, and are removed
as such. No question that this can be annoying in many cases, but hopefully
you can understand the reasoning.
