Export to Word required because of editing later on

Hi there,

Just linked into this newsgroup and probably this subject has been addressed
several times here, but I am struggling for a long time already with a
proper export to Word (Using MS Access 2000).
Export to snaphot works fine as we all know, however the export to Word is
absolutely required because the report has to be edited/amended later on.

The export to Word does not work quite well in Access as it mixes-up the
text at unpredictable moments. Text is shifted and/or cut.

An answer would be most appreciated.

Yes, exporting to RTF format can have sometimes unpredictable results. You
might want to try printing the report to a PDF file format. If you have
full Adobe Acrobat, (or some of the other shareware tools out there for PDF
editing,) then you can edit the text later / add remove pages etc.

thanks for your reply. Tried the export to PFD earlier(Adbobve and PDF
creator), and yes that works fine; text and format is the same... however,
whilst cutting/pasting to a Word document, the format gets lost.
In fact the same problem as with the snapshot files.
The issue i9s to get the same format in Word.

Peter,

thanks for your reply and the advise of the book. I never considered to use
MailMerge. Currently have no idea whether this will be a solution, but I
will most certainly buy this book. Currently it costs us quite a lot of work
to export and edit every time...
