Export Vista windows mail to Outlook 2003

Would like to export mail from Vista windows mail to Outlook 2003.
Tried everything... but get error msg: The export could not be performed an
error occurred while initializing MAPI.....
Any help Please. Thanks

Have you installed Outlook 2003 and configured a mail profile and account?
