Exporting Contacts to Excel

I am trying to export contact information to Excel or Access but run into a
catch 22 problem. I need to export complete address information and Category
information.
If I use Access and have it IMPORT, the address information comes in
correctly (i.e. address in one column, city state in another column) but the
category does not import. If I EXPORT from Contacts to Excel or Access, the
category comes over but the address information is all in one cell. I tried
downloading the IMI contacts program but run into the same issues using it.
