exporting contacts to excel

Hello Helpers
Do you know what are the best fields to set in 'customise current view' in
outlook veiw settings for me to export my contacts to an excel file?
At the current setting (factory default) they 2 address lines i.e. street
and town display as one long line in an excel cell! very bad when I have
12000 addresses!
I use Outlook 2002 and Excel 2002

U want to go to "All Contact fields" to choose your fields and not to the
(default) "Frequently Used Contact fields" - and you will readily see there
everything you wish to see for an export.

Even in "All Contact fields" veiw if I insert "Full Name" "Mailing Address"
fields the street name and the town show up as one line of text in excel,
access, or whatever! same happens if I do a mail merge to Avery Design Pro
to Microsoft Word whatever I try and I have tried for months this happens? I
dont want to satrt editing 7000 addresses? Keith
