Exporting emails

I run, at home, XP with Outlook 2003 and Hotmail. The system has begun to
not work, crashes when I try to open the inbox, and I want to revert back to
using my old Outlook Express 6. I have tried to use the EXPORT control but
keep getting an error message "THIS OPERATION FAILED". How can I export the
archive folder of my emails for the past twelve months to OE6 or even better
still onto CD

If you can't open your Outlook Inbox, it sounds like your mail store may be
corrupted. If so, switching to Outlook Express is an option for future use
but you may lose your mail store from Outlook. You could try to fix the
message store in Outlook by using scanpst.

If the message store is not corrupted, use the import function from Outlook
Express to import from Outlook and see if that works.
