Hi,

For personal users who do not have an Exchange Server, all Outlook data is stored in Personal Folder files (*.pst). Outlook uses Personal Folder files to store Information such as
messages, contacts, calendar, etc. The preferred way to move your Outlook data from one machine to another is to simply copy your .PST file from the old machine to the new one.

Please refer to the following Knowledge Base (KB) article for more information on backing up or moving your data.

Note: this article is also adapted to Outlook 2003.
