Exporting Version 2003 to PST file for Version 2000

Hi everyone, I am having problems exporting my outlook folders from Outlook 2003 into a PST file that can be imported on another machine that uses Outlook 2000. When I attempt to import the PST file, I get an error.

Can someone please walk me through the process to export my folders on version 2003 and import those folder on version 2000?

Please either email me or post your suggestion. I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!!!

I am not positive, but you may not be able to go from 2003 to 2000 with a pst file. Try doing it as comma delimited values.

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]

In Outlook- File->New->Data File. Select the Outlook 97-2002 version. Once
created, drag and drop your items from your current 2003 data file (.pst) to
the old one. For the calendar, display it in categories view before trying
the drag and drop.

In your prior version of Outlook, use File->Open->Personal Folders File (or
Outlook Data File) - do NOT import it unless you don't care about lost data.
