Exprofre.exe problem

I a trying to to run the Exprofre.exe util to update outlook profiles to work
after a migration to a new exchange server after a cross organisation
migration but it is not succeeding.

I am using server 2003 and exchange 2003 server with office 2003.

I have specified a GC server within the Domain that the new exchange server
resides in (the user account is in a sub domain of the Exchange domain,
although I've also tested specifying a GC in the user accounts domain with
equal lack of success).

The log appears to be query AD for an X500 mail address address for the user
which does not exist. By default my users have X400 addresses and SMTP
addresses, they don't have X500 addresses as I thought they were something
like LDAP AD distinguished names.

Search filter =
"(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(proxyAddresses=X500:/o=COLTMSU/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=Guys-coltsi))"
About to execute the search.
About to get the user profile.

CActiveDirectory::SearchForTheUserProfile()
"The users mailbox has not been migrated or the profile update has already
been run."

HRESULT=0x5012

What am I doing wrong, or what additional step do I need to take to make
this work?
