I would like to be able to include remaining work in a cube view for doing
forecasting. Is this possible?
Thanks!

Gary L. Chefetz (MVP) said:Amy, to do this you simply add a calculated field to a view. This doesn't
require extending the cube and takes only a few moments if you know to write
an Excel formula and formatting statement. Click the calculator icon on the
tool bar when building an Analyzer view.

You can accomplish this directly by doing the following:
1. Open the Portfolio Analyzer view for editing in PWA
2. In the PivotTable area, click the Calculated Totals and Fields button
3. Select the Create Calculated Total option from the pick list
4. In the Commands and Options dialog, enter a Name such as Remaining for
the field
5. In the Calculation section, create the following formula:
[Measures].[Work]-[Measures].[Actual Work]
6. Click the Change button
7. Click the Format tab and change the Number format to Fixed or Standard
8. Close the Commands and Options dialog
9. Click the Save Changes button
Hope this helps.
