Extend trial time limit?

Does anyone have an email address where I can contact MS about maybe getting
an extension to my trial versions time limit. I actually own a full set of Of
the home version but didn't want to waste one of its 3 serial uses on a
system I'm about to replace. Unfortunately I just heard from the system
builder that it may be another 2 full weeks before my new computer shows and
my trial expires in 1, go figure.

The EULA allows you to have Office installed on 3 computers at the
same time. If you install it on your current box and then uninstall it
when the new one arrives, you will still have 3 licenses to use. Go
ahead and install it.

if you're talking about the office home and student 2007, then like he said
you can have it installed on 3 different computers at one time, for your
household's use (no commercial, nonprofit, etc). TO VERIFY you can download
the license agreement from this microsoft page. after you read the beginning
section 1. OVERVIEW scroll down a couple or so pages and look for a
REASSIGNMENT section that tells you can reassign another computer in your
household:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA102103171033.aspx

btw, if it's another office version you are limited to 2 computers at one
time, at least one of those 2 must be a portable device (laptop), with
reassignment rights after 90 days. you can check those products' agreements
at the same link above

Why download the EULA since it is apparently already installed on one
system. Depending on the version of "Home" all the OP has to do is go to
Help, About in Office '03 or for '07 click on the Office button, click on
the "Program" options button, Resources, About to fully read the EULA for
the version installed.

because my reading of the original post was that it was not installed, thus
he had no way to access his eula from his copy.

meh...

why is this crap so important to you guys?
THAT IS EXACTLY THE LINK I SUPPLIED A NUMBER OF POSTS AGO.

download, click on, read...whatever

the point was to supply some info to the original poster and to any others
reading his thread. it took me a while to find this info and i'm passing it
on...if you don't mind.
also, here's another link from microsoft on these licensing terms that
actually does require a download of an .exe file that opens both pdf and xps
versions
so have fun with that too

http://www.microsoft.com/about/legal/useterms/Default.aspx

frankly, i think microsoft makes this whole thing more difficult than it
need be, including providing most in unformatted text that needs to be pasted
into word and formatted to make sense of them (the license terms link for my
preinstalled Microsoft Works does convert and open in a formatted word
document, which makes it much easier to comprehend.)

How much better if they just provided a quick overview on the product page
including the info most are immediately interested in, namely how many copies
they can have installed and where. it'd be way more clear to say, e.g., that
for Office Professional 2007 you can have 2 copies installed at one time with
at least one of those copies being on a laptop AND that you can change the
main computer any number of times as long as you wait at least 90 days.

as it is in the eula, you have to deduce that conclusion -- AND you've got
to wade through pages to find the reassignment info. as the number of posts
on this site indicate, many don't get that far; and i don't blame them.
