extended right margin Word 2003

Chad Martin

I am opening a 2000 WORD doc in WORD 2003. My margins are set to default but I am getting an extra 2 inches in my right margin; 2 inches past the existing ruler. When I print the doc the extended margin remains. How do I get rid of this so to have proper margin manipulation?

thanks,
cm

If you are tracking changes or have inserted comments in the document, Word
extends the right margin to make room for the "balloons."

Do you perhaps have "Track changes" on? And this would be the extra space the "ballons" need to display the changes?
