Hi,
I am new to this group and new to Outlook 2003/Exchange Server 2003 which we
have just installed in our organisation.
I have been scouring the newsgroups for an answer to my question but have
not found anything so far so here I go:
We have users with shared calendars etc on our 2003 domain using
Outlook/Exchange 2003 and would like to share one particular calendar with
various people that are outside our organisation. Connecting different
domains is out of the question at the moment but may be happening in the
future.
My thoughts were to create mail enabled accounts on our domain and give
these external users access to the shared calendar via OWA but I only want
them to be able to access the shared calendar. I don't want them to be able
to use the other functionality with OWA i.e. sending and receiving email.
I was also thinking of creating a separate OU in active directory for these
external users hoping that some of the outlook features can be locked down.
Can I have some feedback on this topic hoping that other people have been
confronted with this problem and have a workable solution that doesn't cause
any secruity issues?
Thanks,
Ron.
