hi,

I have a excel file create on windows OS.
This file run correctly bat the refresh data on the pivot table are
disabled.
The external data source is a remote server whit SQL server 2000.

Hi Marcello,

In order to be able to refresh data Excel needs to connect to the data
source.

The connection is made using ODBC. Here is an article that explains ODBC
