External link to MS Access macro

Hello,

I need to have a link in an HTML file to a macro in MS Access. Is this
possible? How?

Access macros respond to database events so that any hyperlink would need to
open the database and use a form or report to generate that event.

OK, let me rephrase. If I want to have an HTML link, say, to a bookmark in a
MS Word document I can build the link as <a
href="word_document.doc#bookmark">. I've tried this with the MDB file and the
macro <a href="database.mdb#macro_name"> but it didn't work.

So my question is, is the link wrong or is it not possible to do at all?
