Extra line preceds signature in Outlook

After creating signature file (using Advanced setting button which launches
Word), everything works fine except that new messages which use this
signature file have two blank lines preceding the signature, not one. In the
sig file there is only one <br> and that's AFTER the signature -- none before
it. Can't figure out how to prevent the extra line.

Do a soft break, not a hard one, which when turned into a signature
(HTML) turns into two spaces. Took me a while to work out when it
happened to me.
Re-edit it, remove Enter, and insert Shift+Enter
