Extra Lines after saving a .csv

I saved a file into a .csv (comma delimited) file for the
purpose of running a process to validate and insert into a
database. However, after saving the spreadsheet, there are
blank lines in the file. Is there a way that I can save
the .csv file without the extra blank lines.
