Provide a URL
Sounds like you have broken html tag pairs (most likely that content is in a broken table so IE displays it outside of the table)

| The text is either fragments of text (3 or 4 words)

| footer. Sometimes if I remove text from the very bottom
| of the main body (above footer), it alters it. It's
| frustrating since there doesn't seem to be a pattern. I
| am loading the files up on a UNIX system. I'm wondering
| if there is an incompatibility problem?
