Extra un-numbered page inserted in section breaks - HELP!

I am trying to create a doc in Word 2007 with tables that appear in landscape
while most of text is portrait. When I print duplex, it leaves the back side
of a page blank rather than print the other layout - i.e. instead of portait
front/landscape back it will do portrait front/ blank back, then start
landscape on new page. AND when it does this it keeps the page numbering, so
that I wind up with even-numbered pages facing up (it will print p.19/blank,
then p.20 facing up, for e.g.). I have tried the fixes I could find posted
here and elsewhere, to no avail. I have lost hours of work time on this.
HELP! (please...).

The bottom line is that printers are lazy. They find landscape printing
taxing and printing landscape and portrait on the same (duplexed) sheet even
more difficult. To accommodate their laziness, Word will change your Next
Page section break to an Odd Page break. You can sometimes change this by
going to the Layout tab of Page Setup and changing the section start type.
If this doesn't work, it is usually because you have restarted numbering at
1 in the new section, and Word will (quite reasonably) insist on making this
an odd page.
