I have had a look through the threads but are not exactly sure what I'
looking for. (Novice)

I want to extract complete rows that match certain colomn criteria fro
one sheet to another sheet. Matching certain criteria in the Natur
Colomn and sending this info into the 3 other sheets.

Original Data Sheet
Date Description Amount Nature
01/07/04 Description 1 1.00 Travel
02/07/04 Description 2 2.00 Other
03/07/04 Description 3 3.00 Gas
04/07/04 Description 1 4.00 Travel
05/07/04 Description 2 5.00 Other
06/07/04 Description 3 6.00 Gas

Travel Sheet
01/07/04 Description 1 1.00 Travel
04/07/04 Description 1 4.00 Travel

Other sheet
02/07/04 Description 2 2.00 Other
05/07/04 Description 2 5.00 Other

Gas Sheet
03/07/04 Description 3 3.00 Gas
06/07/04 Description 3 6.00 Gas

I have tried Advanced Filtering but I can not use this info in othe
sheets. I think I have to use VLOOKUP????? Open for any suggestions.

Thanks
Anto

Hi
why can't you use the information extracted by advanced filter on your
other worksheet (do you need a dynamic link between both sheets?)

Hi Anton

If you are using Office 2003 you can filter to other
sheets. If not you will need a macro.

Debra Dagliesh's site Contextures.com has excellent pages
on filtering and includes a macro by Tom Ogilvy to copy
filtered data to another sheet that you can probabley
adapt.

Peter

I was hoping to have it Dynamic. The data sheet will be the only shee
accesable to the end user. It seems a little more difficult than
initially thought. Found some other ideas on the links you suggested
thanks Peter. I will keep trying 'til I get something.

Appreciate the effort.
Cheers

This is the exact problem I'm having. I've looked at advanced filter
