extracting files fail........ !

I have been trying to instal the 60 day trial of office 2007, downloaded ok &
have save to external drive(no space on the c drive), but i constantly get
the message extracting of files failed - this is very fustrating! will the
file work from the external drive or do i need to change something?

If there isn't enough space on the C drive to install the program (and even
if you are attempting to install onto the external drive which in itself
creates problems) the install program must write a lot of temporary files
onto the temporary workspace on that drive. Will give the kind of error
messages you are getting if there isn't enough space to extract to. IIRC,
and without checking, you need at least 1.5 GB of HDD space in addition to
program space to install Office 2007.
