Extraneous white space on a report

Greetings,

I am running the "Tasks Starting Soon" report and saving it as a .pdf for
distribution to my team....however, there is a 2" wide gap between the end of
Task Name and the beginning of Duration, which causes me to use 8.5x11 paper.
Is there any way to get rid of the extra white space in a report?

Thanks!!

Hi Billy,

The "Tasks Starting Soon" report is based upon a the Entry table (left
side of the Gantt Chart View.) The problem is if you narrow the column
widths in the Entry Table so it looks good on the report, it looks
terrible on screen.

What I usually do is create a new table by copying the Entry Table (View
Tables > More Tables, select Entry and copy.) Rename the new table (I
use Print Entry). Adjust the column widths so they are quite narrow in
the Print Entry table. Then modify the report to use the Print Entry
table. (View > Reports, select the Tasks Starting Soon, Edit and in the
Task Report dialog box, select the Print Entry table). It is then a
matter of adjusting the column widths in the Print Entry table until the
report looks good.

By creating the new table you can easily have change back to the Entry
table for screen viewing.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
