F16-19 accessible in Customize Keyboard, Word 08?

I'm using Word 08, OS X 10.4.11, an iMac and a new Mac aluminum keyboard. I can't get Customize Keyboard to recognise the F16 to F19 keys that this keyboard offers, and would love to have them to hand for Word. Can I?

No idea, but interesting question.
Can you use them for Expose?
What is your "Use all F1 etc as standard function keys" setting?

I've had a Macally iMedia kybd for centuries with keys through F15 & Word
has not had a problem with any of them.

If you're having difficulty with Word accepting assignments to those keys it
is most likely because those keys are already assigned to other OS X or
Aluminum Keyboard-specific operations. Dig in to the kybd driver & OS X
kybd shortcuts I'll bet you'll find that to be the case (including Exposé or
other Apple-proprietary features). If you change those settings to release
the assignments my guess is that Word will then be able to use them.
