F4 will not drop down list for combobox in datasheet view

in access 2007 F4 will not drop the list down in the datasheet view. it will
in the form view. is there a setting to make this work like access 2003?

The datasheet view is a subform in a form and yes I have all updates

I'm running A2007 SP1 on Vista, with the db in a trusted folder.

F4 drops the combo down for main forms and subforms, in Form view,
Continuous View, and Datasheet view.

Tested in an ACCDB. Didn't test popup or modal form.
