When I use F4 to toggle between relative and absolute
references in Microsoft Works...,

IT DOES NOT WORK...

although the help pane indicates that it should.

Why?

This is an Excel newsgroup, not Works one.

I'd try combinations of keystrokes e.g ALT + +F4, CTRL +
F3 to test various functions.

Also test your keyboard setup as I think this is where
your problem lies.

Hi Larry,

Make sure your cursor is in the address in the formula in edit mode when you
press F4. Note that some nice keyboards require a key like F Lock to be
pressed before the function keys work.
