I'm thinking you may need to download, install
and run SpyBot and AdAware (both offer free
versions). Read what it says at the following
SpyBot site and see if you think it applies to
you:

If you are not running a firewall...ZoneAlarm is
worth taking a look at... I have been very happy
with the free version.

Interesting one, probably spyware I would say.
Download the excellent freeware program Adaware and check for spyware. You
will more than likely be most surprised what you find. You should run
Adaware at least weekly.
