Facing problem in MPP AddIN

Hi,
We are developing a Tracking application which uses MPP for planning and a
seperate appliaction for tracking. We developed a plugin for MS Project which
imports set of tasks for the user to plan.

We faced lot of issus in import and populating tasks line by line. There is
a huge performance hit.
We are also in need of making some process defined columns read only.

Please suggest a best solution for optimal performance in loading the tasks.
Also please suggest how to make a column readonly and validate in MS Project.

The only way that works reliably is at the beginning of the week export
current tasks and assignments along with their Unique IDs then update those
assignments using the unique IDs. That way you only update tasks that
change, which is fast.
